About Me
Welcome! My name is Teresa Sanderson, also known as Tess, and I currently live in Somerset, having made a big move from South Lincolnshire in late 2022. I am a fun loving lady and whilst I suffer from a couple of auto immune diseases, these are only part of who I am and do not define me. My life path has been full of twists and turns, dealing with lipoedema, fibromyalgia, arthiritis and some permanent injuries, all of which limit my mobility and give me constant pain.
I am a firm believer that we must take every opportunity to improve our lot and help ourselves, and for me, Laughter Yoga (Hasayayoga) and The Balance Procedure helps with that. I am a UK Selfcare Forum Champion with a passion for laughter and helping others to help themselves. I have a professional training and development background and am CIPD qualified. I am also a member of the Laughter Association UK (LAUK). I have years of experience as a Development and Training Professional, coaching, mentoring and training and managing teams. I enjoy working with people and seeing them flourish.
I undertook my Certified Laughter Yoga training through the Dr Kataria International Laughter Yoga University in 2017 - I am often referred to as the Laughter Goddess. Finally, after Covid interrupted my plans, in the summer of 2022 I qualfied as both a Laughter Yoga Teacher and a Laughter Coach and completed Emergency First Aid at Work training. Added to this, I am also Balance Procedure Practioner and a Reiki Therapist.
Back in 2017, I had been looking for some time for an exercise that was accessible to me, when I finally came across Laughter Yoga, and though I initally approached it with trepidation, I was thrilled to find it was just what I needed in my life in so many ways. I qualified in 2017 as a Laughter Yoga Leader and love to share this activity with others. I am expanding my my corporate work with a special interest in wellness at work and inclusivity, offering an effective and fun way to exercise and improve health. I have worked with clients such as:
I write and facilitate Workshops aligned with self development and self care. I can offer Coaching, Meditation, Mindfulness and Action Vision Board development as part of the Workshops, Teambuilding or as a standalone session.I have a variety of solutions for Business for wellbeing at work and, of course, bespoke sessions can be planned as required. I have a special interest in inclusivity and Wellness at Work. Enabling all to access exercis pr participate in team events, and ways to be well is vitally important to me, as I am disabled and have health conditions myself, I understand the fears and restrictions that these can invoke within individuals, becoming a barrier to them living their life to the full and realising their full potential.
I have trained and actively use The Balance Procedure and am offering consultations in this non verbal technique which is quick and easy to learn, and used as part of our daily life we can really change all those fears and life limiting beliefs that we have collected on our life path. It is actually a technique that can be used by people of any age or ability, using our energy and breathing to find our true potential.
Above all, The Laughter Locker is a safe space, where people can learn to relax, enabling them to find room to explore new exercise, gain new skills and build resilience with confidence.
Whilst I expect to work in the local area, I am open to consider work nationally and internationally, providing expenses and travel time are covered - please contact me for fees.
Why not talk with me about how I can work with you or your business to meet your goals or aspirations.
